Horology by the Sea is proud to present this stunning example from Speake-Marin, the Marin 1 Mk1 with a gorgeous two piece white enamel dial with elongated Roman numerals. The steel arrow and heart-shaped hands are blued and filled with luminous material for increased legibility.
The reverse side reveals Peter's spectacular Manufacture SM2 Caliber operating at 3 Hz and with a Power Reserve of approximately 70 hours. The rotor's design is inspired by a watchmaker's "Topping Tool", featuring hand beveled edges with many curves and points allowing for Speake-Marin's experience in hand-finishing to shine through.
The titanium case with red gold lug screws and crown measures 42mm x 13.7mm x 54mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on a long length dark brown alligator strap with signed Speake-Marin pin buckle. Complete with Box and Papers dated December 10, 2014. Paperwork acknowledges this watch as being originally owned and worn by Peter Marin himself!
This watch was sent to the Speake-Marin manufacture for service November 2024 for a sum of $2,860.
