Horology By The Sea is proud to present this Pre-Series "1 in 20", a souscription approach Peter used at the time to finance the development and production of the SM2, his very first serially produced 100% in-house caliber. Each watch was created to the desires of its commissioner, almost guaranteeing each of the 20 becoming a Piece Unique. Most clients elected for Perpetual Calendar complication, while a few others preferred ordered a Time-Only, or one of Peter's Art pieces.
This watch, consigned to Horology By The Sea by it's original owner, elected for a 4 piece white Enamel dial with black Arabic numerals residing below blued "Gianfranca Style" hands. An aperture below the canon pinion displays the moonphase.
The reverse side reveals Peter's magnificent SM2 Caliber operating at 3 Hz and with a Power Reserve of approximately 72 hours. The SM2 is one of the most beautiful automatic winding calibers I can recall seeing and exhibits much in the way of hand finishing.
The 18 karat rose gold case measures 40.6mm x 14.6mm x 52mm lug-to-lug. Furnished on the a medium brown alligator strap with signed rose gold pin buckle. Complete with Box & Papers dated August 11th, 2010.
