An ethereal blend of Finnish horology and literary artistry, the Sarpaneva x Moomin 80 "Colors Edition" celebrates eight decades of Tove Jansson’s beloved Moomin universe, bringing an iconic scene from Comet in Moominland to life.
The main attraction is its intricate three-part hand-finished stainless steel dial, meticulously painted with ten distinct hues of Swiss Super-LumiNova that transform in the dark into a glowing, multi-colored nocturnal panorama. Hours are indicated via a skeletonized dragging-hour disc made in the shape of a shooting comet aperture at the top of the dial, while a single hand sweeping over the scene tracks the minutes, allowing the artwork to take center stage. This watch is limited to just 30 pieces in this vibrant full-color execution and has sold out.
The reverse side reveals the Soprod A10 calibre which runs at 4Hz and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. Atop the rhodium-plated movement finished with perlage is a lovely skeletonized steel winding rotor featuring white gold weights and Sarpaneva’s unmistakable, haunting Moonface motif complete with blue lumed eyes.
The Stainless Steel case measures 42mm x 11.4mm x 46mm lug-to-lug and is in mint condition. Furnished with an OEM brown calfskin strap with stainless steel pin buckle & an additional OEM orange calfskin strap with stainless steel pin buckle. Complete with Box & Certificate dated 11/7/2025.
