For his iconic moon phase watches, Stepan modifies the quick set calendar mechanism of the Soprod A10 caliber to work perfectly as a moon phase complication. Stepan introduces a wheel with 59 teeth (two teeth for each day of the 29.5 day cycle) in place of the date wheel which ordinarily has 31 teeth. He then takes added steps to ensure the mechanism will not break should the hands move in an anti-clockwise direction.
The moon faces themselves are crafted in solid 18k gold.
The reverse side features an extensively modified Soprod A10 caliber which beats at 4 Hz and delivers a Power Reserve of 42 hours. Perlage and Côtes de Genève finishing can be viewed underneath the stainless steel rotor set with a Rose Gold Moonface and weights.
Stainless steel case measures 42mm x 11mm thick x 45.5mm lug to lug. Furnished on a brand new OEM Epsom leather strap with stainless steel Sarpaneva pin buckle. Limited to 10 pieces and engraved "One of the Ten" on the caseback. No Box & Papers.
