Ressence watches represent a profound departure from traditional horology, reimagining the mechanical watch not as a series of hands pinned to a center axis, but as a fluid, ergonomic sculpture of time. Thanks to Ressence's fascinating ROCS movement system, the time and complications orbit around the dial, all the while preventing overlap and allowing for maximum legibility.
Dial side the hours are viewed in the largest subdial and the minutes expressed by the "hand" extending from the center out to the minute chapter. The smaller subdial with 12 hashes features a hand circling around to serve as an easy indication that the watch is running... it is not a true indication of the seconds. The subdial opposite of the minute hand features 5 solid arching lines (weekdays) and two which are hollowed out (weekends). The positioning of the pointing hand also outlines whether the watch is in AM or PM. AM to the near side of the arch, PM to the far side of the arch.
On the reverse side is a slightly domed caseback which is exceedingly comfortable on the wrist. A liftable handle allows for easy winding and setting which nestles flush with the caseback when on the wrist.
The Stainless Steel case measures 41mm x 11.3mm x 46mm lug-to-lug. Furnished on a Green Rubber strap with Ressence stainless steel pin buckle. Also included are two worn OEM straps, a textured brown calfskin and a grey ostrich. Complete with Box and Papers dated January 2018. Type 12RS
