Following the pursuit of lightweight strength, Linde Werdelin used the opportunity for this Special Edition to meticulously skeletonize their iconic case, removing every gram of unnecessary material to reveal the architectural beauty beneath. Crafted in titanium—a material prized for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance—this timepiece features a distinctive three-part case construction with a satin-polished and bead-blasted finish that plays beautifully with light while maintaining a rugged, industrial edge.
Peering through the anti-reflective sapphire crystal reveals a three dimensional dial which has been skeletonized to reveal the escapement as well as the componentry of the 12-hour chronograph. The blued steel hours, minutes and seconds hands are painted with a cool grey Luminova to match the hour indexes.
The reverse side reveals the LW06 self-winding chronograph movement which operates at 4Hz and delivers a power reserve of 48 hours. The case is WR to 100M and the caseback is engraved with the Special Edition #24/99.
The Grade 5 Titanium case measures 44mm x 15.5mm x 49.4mm lug-to-lug. Furnished on a OEM blue rubber with Titanium LW pin buckle, and an additional LW deployant clasp. Complete with Box & Papers dated 8/30/2015.
