Stefan Kudoke's second addition to Kudoke's "Handwerk" (handcraft) collection is the GPHG award winning Kudoke 2.
The focal point of the Kudoke 2 is the sky disc located at the 12 o'clock position serving as a 24-hour indication. Unlike standard day/night indicators which often utilize a simple printed disc, this is a three-dimensional, rotating domed disc which is engraved in relief by hand. The sun is plated in yellow gold, while the moon and stars are rhodium-plated, set against a coarse, electroplated anthracite background. The disc rotates in sync with the hour hand but on a 24-hour cycle, providing an intuitive day/night reference without cluttering the dial.
The exquisite dial is crafted from Tahitian Mother-of-Pearl which is carefully chosen for maximum beauty. Atop the dial is Kudoke's iconic hour hand hallmarked with the infinity symbol and lancet styled minute hand. A brushed and rhodium-plated minute chapter sits elevated on the dial carrying Roman numerals at the quarter markers. The bevels are diamond-cut for sharpness.
In view through the sapphire caseback is Kudoke's manually wound Kaliber 1-24H which beats at 4 Hz and delivers a power reserve of 46 hours. For this special watch, the bridges of the Kaliber 1 is hand engraved with a floral pattern in relief and plated in dark rhodium. The balance cock and name badge are engraved in rose gold for a stunning contrast.
The Stainless Steel case measures 39mm x 10.7mm x 46.mm lug-to-lug and carries 50M Water Resistance. Furnished on a gray calfskin strap with alligator print and signed steel Kudoke pin buckle. All new Kudoke watches are backed by a 2 year International Warranty.
This Kudoke 2 with Black Tahitian MOP dial carrying Serial #735 has sold. A similar Kudoke 2 with Tahitian MOP dial is scheduled to arrive December 2027. As each cut of Mother of Pearl is unique, no two pieces will appear identical and will appear different than the dial in these photos.
