Celebrating the fifth anniversary of Konstantin Chaykin's "Wristmons" that redefined independent watchmaking, this 40mm stainless steel marvel transitions the Joker from a playful provocateur to a piece of high-horology theater.
Underneath the high-domed sapphire crystal, the Joker Five reveals its most significant evolution: a skeletonized dial that finally unmasks Chaykin's K.09-0 caliber. For the first time in a serial production Joker, the internal architecture of the 142-part indication module is laid bare, showcasing the intricate levers and wheels that drive the anthropomorphic display.The signature "eyes" are rotating hour and minute discs with green pupils, but the most dramatic mechanical shift is the replacement of the traditional moonphase with a retrograde day-of-the-week indicator.This new "mouth" spans the bottom of the dial, where a hand tracks the days across a mischievous grin, adding a dynamic layer of animation as it retrogrades back at the start of each week. The automatic winding Vaucher base caliber beats at 4Hz and carries a 50 hour power reserve.
The Stainless Steel case measures 40mm x 13.7mm x 46mm lug-to-lug and is mint condition. Furnished on a black Alligator strap with green stitching and stainless steel Chaykin pin buckle. Complete with Box & Papers dated December 2022.
