Horology By The Sea is thrilled to present rare example of the Habring² Oskar Pointer Date & Moon, a Special Edition offering from retail partner Shellman of Japan.
Underneath rhodium leaf shaped hands lies a dial featuring a two-step construction rendered in a captivating indigo hue, whose color pays homage to the historic art of Aizome (indigo dyeing). The outer periphery featuring applied Breguet numerals is decorated with a fine circular sunburst pattern that frames the peripheral pointer date scale, while the central portion of the dial displays a soft matte finish. At 6 o'clock sits a subdial housing both a running small seconds indicator and a classical moon phase disc. Date and moon phase adjustments are managedby way of a dimple located on the middle case at 4 o'clock. Press firmly to adjust the moon disc and the date, press half way to advance the date only!
The reverse side reveals Habring²'s Manufacture A11U movement which beats at 4Hz and delivers a power reserve of 48 hours. A tangential screw is in place for fine adjustment and the anti-magnetic escapement is fit with a Carl Haas hairspring of Chronometer quality. A badge engraved with "WCW 12th" is fastened by screws to the bridge in commemoration of Shellman's 12th edition of Watch Collector's Week.
The Stainless Steel case measures 38.5mm x 10.3mm x 46mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished with Complete Box & Papers dated February 2025. At the time of listing 1 year and 4 months remain of the Habring² 3 Year Warranty.
