Horology By The Sea is proud to present this Habring² Erwin "Star", a special edition to commemorate the 10th anniversary of SJX Watches.
Vintage fans will immediately recognize the reference to the rare and beautiful Rolex Stelline and Galaxy dials from the 1950s. The stars are made of gilded brass which is diamond cut and polished to offer a reflective, faceted surface. The center of each star is luminous to match the luminous dauphine shaped hour and minute hands.
At the heart of the Erwin Tuxedo lies the in-house Habring² A11MS manual wound caliber, which operates at 4Hz and delivers a 48 hour power reserve. This caliber features a central-mounted jumping seconds hand that advances with a precise one-second tick reminiscent of vintage observatory pieces or a traditional quartz watch. A tangential screw is in place for fine adjustment and the anti-magnetic escapement is fit with a Carl Haas hairspring of Chronometer quality.
The Stainless Steel Case measures 38.5mm x 10.3mm x 46mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on an OEM dark blue calfskin strap with SJX signed pin buckle. Complete with Box & undated Papers.
