One of the most important watches in the history of Habring² is this 20 piece Special Edition created for the Timezone watch forum. The Chrono COS "TZ20" showcases Habring²'s patented Crown Operation System (COS), a remarkable feat of engineering that eliminates the need for traditional pushers, allowing the wearer to start, stop, and reset the chronograph solely through the manipulation of the crown.
Beneath the double-anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal lies a multi-textured silver dial with rhodiated galvanization and a grained center, specifically filtered to minimize glare and maximize the legibility of the blued leaf shaped hands.On the periphery of the dial lies a telemeter scale with dark red markings and dark navy blue hour markers. A subdial at 9 o'clock captures elapsed time of up to 30 minutes.
At the heart of this TZ20 is the Habring² hand-wound caliber A08MCOS with Valjoux 7750 base. The movement beats at 4Hz and carries a power reserve of 48 hours. A tangential screw is in place for fine adjustment and the anti-magnetic escapement is fit with a Carl Haas hairspring of Chronometer quality.
The stainless steel case measures 42mm x 13.5mm x 52mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on a black calfskin strap with signed Habring² pin buckle. Complete with Box and Papers, and secondary solid stainless steel caseback engraved TZ-03.
