Horology By The Sea is beyond thrilled to present this unbelievable Sarek "Afterglow" from the GoS' atelier in Sweden. The steel dial with triangular swirl patterns was masterfully heated purple by Patrik Sjögren. The dynamic range of color spans from purple and pink and orange, then over to a monochrome of grey elevations and valleys of black.
I have long been a fan of GoS' for its strong design language which draws inspiration from Sweden's fascinating Viking past.The powerful hands are shaped like spears while the handcrafted crown is shaped like a Viking sword hilt and the fluted caseband like armor, to name a few.
The reverse side reveals a La Joux-Perret G101 caliber which operates at 4 Hz and carries a power reserve of 65 hours. Underneath the skeletonized rotor with GoS' signature Triskele emblem are bridges which were given an anthracite color and finished with Côtes de Genève.
The Stainless Steel case measures 41.5mm x 11mm and 49.5mm lug-to-lug. WR to 5ATM. Furnished on a black Moose leather strap and GoS Damascus stainless steel pin buckle. Delivered in a GoS box in hardwood and canvas where the wood has been treated to resemble black oak and furnished with a 5 Year Warranty.
