Horology By The Sea is thrilled to present this bespoke example of the S2 from Garrick, an extraordinary and complicated expression of independent British watchmaking.
Viewed from the front, the watch features a vibrant red engine-turned dial adorned with a swirling guilloché pattern. An applied chapter ring perfectly compliments the polished lancine-shaped hour and minute hands. The center stage of the timepiece is its signature complication: the deadbeat (jumping) seconds mechanism, featuring a central seconds hand that advances in crisp, one-second increments rather than a continuous sweep. At the 6 o'clock position we are offered a view of Garrick’s free-sprung balance wheel oscillating at a rate of 2.5Hz.
Turning the watch over reveals the Garrick's manually wound caliber DB-G06 with frosted rhodium bridges. The intriguing movement design exhibits a wide array of finishing techniques, textures, and elevations. Next to the hand engraved balance cock is the entirely black polished pallet cock fastened by a screw. When fully wound, the watch offers a 45 hour power reserve.
The 904L Stainless Steel case measures 42mm x 12.2mm x 50.5mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished with an OEM red alligator strap with signed pin buckle, and an additional OEM grey alligator strap with signed pin buckle. Complete with Box & Papers dated 3/27/2026.
