Horology By The Sea is proud to present this fabulous Special Edition L.U.C. XP Skeletec from Chopard, reference 161984-1001.
For this Special Edition, Chopard chose to lacquered their signature hands in with a punchy orange color. Underneath the hands exists a ruthenium colored dial skeletonized to perfection, offering views of the solarized mainspring barrel (with a second barrel stacked underneath) and the 22 karat solid gold micro-rotor.
The reverse side reveals Chopard's first ever skeletonized automatic winding caliber, the 96.17.S. The bridges are ruthenium plated to match the dial. Pulling out the crown allows for the escapement to hack. The movement beats at 4Hz and carries a power reserve of approximately 65 hours.
The 18k white gold measures 40mm x 7.5mm x 47.8mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished with an ABP orange alligator strap with L.U.C. signed white gold buckle and an additional Chopard grey calfskin strap. Complete with Box & Papers dated September 2021, carrying Serial #4212048.
