Very rarely do we offer a watch not created by an Independent watchmaker, but simply put the legendary Zeitwerk is in a class of its own. The creators of the Zeitwerk were presented with unique and extremely challenging obstacle to overcome. For 59.9 seconds of every minute, the movement has relatively smooth sailing to contend with. It is only at the last tenth of a second is the movement tasked with moving either 1, 2, or 3 super heavy discs to reflect the new time. To overcome the vast imbalance between the 59.9 seconds of tranquility and the last tenth of a second of madness and potential harm to the chronometry, the engineering team at A. Lange & Sohne developed a fascinating remontoire system which can be viewed through the sapphire glass*.
I cannot think of a more legible watch than the Zeitwerk. No watch offers a more legible and instant readout of the time and catching the time change on the hour is truly appointment viewing!
Watch is in good overall condition with some scratches evident and some light wear to the alligator strap.
This watch's original purchase date was 2014, and underwent a Complete Movement Service at the A. Lange & Sohne Manufacture in September 2021. Original Box, Instruction Booklet, Original Receipt of Purchase & Certificate of Authenticity/Warranty from Watchbox (Warranty expires 9/2023).
