Introducing a distinctive collaboration between Sherpa Watches and their retail partners Horology By The Sea of California and The In House Movement of the United Kingdom.
Underneath diamond cut luminescent hands lies a striking galvanically coated Silver (Ag) soleil finished dial anchored by an internal rotating bezel with a visual depth gauge. Utilizing the science of underwater light attenuation—where longer light wavelengths such as red are absorbed first and shorter wavelengths like blue penetrate deepest—the vibrant multi-colored bezel ring transitions from red (shallowest) through orange, yellow, green, and cyan to blue (deepest), allowing divers to understand their depth underwater through the color (or lack thereof) seen on the bezel. The baton hour indices are filled with high-grade Swiss Super-LumiNova for low-light legibility.
Operated by the upper crown, the internally rotating diving bezel can be adjusted in either direction for easy setting while the lower crown allows for winding and setting the date and time. Neither crown is screwed-down though still affords 200M/660ft Water Resistance due to its Super Compressor case and crown construction.
At the heart of the timepiece is a meticulously engineered automatic caliber developed in collaboration with The In House Movement Company. Built for robust timekeeping under demanding aquatic conditions, the movement operates at a high-frequency balance rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), ensuring stable performance, shock resistance, and an extended power reserve. Visible through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back, the movement showcases traditional English and Swiss finishing techniques, including fine circular Côtes de Genève across the bridges, perlage on the mainplate, flame-blued screws, and a custom skeletonized rotor custom-engraved with the Horology By The Sea emblem.
The Stainless Steel case measures 40mm x 13.5mm x 49.3mm lug-to-lug and is ISO 2425 rated with WR to 200M/660ft. Furnished on a beige Tropic vulcanized rubber strap with Sherpa pin buckle with micro-adjustment capability courtesy of Fitwell.
