For his iconic moon phase watches, Stepan modifies the quick set calendar mechanism of the Soprod A10 caliber to work perfectly as a moon phase complication. Stepan introduces a wheel with 59 teeth (two teeth for each day of the 29.5 day cycle) in place of the date wheel which ordinarily has 31 teeth. He then takes added steps to ensure the mechanism will not break should the hands move in an anti-clockwise direction.
The moon faces themselves are crafted in solid 18k gold.
Stainless steel case measures 42mm x 11mm thick x 45.5mm lug to lug. Limited to 10 pieces and engraved "One of the Ten" on the caseback.
