S.U.F Helsinki "Vetehinen A" Stainless Steel Special Edition w/ Black Licorice Dial (Pre-Order)

S.U.F Helsinki's Vetehinen line of timepieces brings both Finland’s mythological water spirit and the legendary WWII submarine back to life. This newly released Mark 2 version features a slimmer case design and a solid steel caseback, giving it a tougher, more raw look - just the way Stepan likes it. It still carries that unmistakable Sarpaneva DNA: bold hands, signature crown, and "gear-like" rotating bezel.

Atop the deep black black licorice dial features beautifully crafted hands that are frosted on one side and polished on the other for excellent legibility in any lighting condition. The incredibly tactile unidirectional bezel featuring serrated edges at 5 minute intervals for amazing grip. The large round pip on the bezel is filled with Superluminova to match the luminous hands and indices.

The Vetehinen A is powered by a modified Soprod movement which is oiled, assembled, and tested at the S.U.F workshop. The movement operates at 4Hz and carries a power reserve of 42 hours.

The case measures 42mm x 11.4mm x 50.5mm lug-to-lug and is 300M/1000ft water resistant. The watch is furnished with a 20mm black rubber strap to which tapers to 18mm at the Sarpaneva stainless steel buckle and a black Elk skin strap with Sarpaneva pin buckle.
