Horology By The Sea is proud to present the ultra sporty "Flying Finn VB77" from S.U.F Helsinki as a tribute to Finnish Formula One racer, Valtteri Bottas. This VB77 follows in the footsteps of S.U.F’s original tribute to another ‘Flying Finn’ – motorcycling’s Jarno ‘Paroni’ Saarinen – and it has been designed closely with Valtteri. It has unique details that cannot be found in any other S.U.F model, such as its open-worked dial’s racy four-way color scheme and a 77 on the 7th of the month, as a nod to Valtteri's racing number.
A solid caseback protects an automatic winding Soprod A10 caliber. The movement on arrival at S.U.F is stripped down and thoroughly fine-tuned and re-oiled to Stepan’s stringent standards. The movement operates at 4Hz and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. The case is WR to 100M/330ft.
The Stainless Steel case with DLC coating measures 44mm x 9.2mm x 53.4mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on an OEM racing style blue calfskin strap with DLC coated Sarpaneva pin buckle, and an additional black Erika's original fabric strap (as shown on the wristshot).
