Presenting the fantastic "KudOktopus", a masterclass in artisanal engraving and skeletonization crafted from the hands of Stefan Kudoke. Using a hand saw and file, Stefan meticulously removes material to transform the structural bridges into the fluid, undulating tentacles of the octopus. The tentacles are further enhanced by hand-applied "tremblage" engraving, a technique involving a burin that creates a fine, matte-shimmering surface texture.
The reverse side is equally captivating, revealing the underside of the skeletonized movement where the thematic engraving continues. The skeletonized mainplate is finished with perlage and is given plated with dark rhodium for a lovely contrast to the rose gold plated tentacles. One of my favorite aspects of this watch are the timing screws set into the balance wheel not often seen in this caliber. The escapement beats at 2.5 Hz and carries a power reserve of 46 hours.
The Stainless Steel case measures 42mm x 11mm x 51mm lug-to-lug. Furnished on a dark brown suede strap and signed stainless steel Kudoke pin buckle. Complete with Box and Papers dated 1/29/2024. From time of listing over 1 year exists of the Kudoke 2 Year Warranty.
