All jokes aside, the Konstantin Chaykin "Joker" is an extraordinary triumph of modern independent watchmaking that effortlessly blends whimsical character with haute horology.
Housed in a beautifully finished stainless steel case, Chaykin turns the traditional time display on its head with his proprietary module (Caliber K.07-0). The dial forms a expressive face where hours and minutes are read via two independent rotating disc "eyes" featuring dark pupil markers against crisp silvered guilloché sockets, creating an ever-shifting expression as time progresses throughout the day. At 6 o'clock, a vibrant red smiling mouth creates the aperture for the moonphase display, where the Joker's tongue travels across the mouth over the course of 29.5 days.
Powered by a self-winding mechanical movement operating at 4Hz and with a 38-hour power reserve, the watch features dual crowns—a functional crown at 3 o'clock for winding and time-setting alongside a recessed push-piece crown at 9 o'clock for quick-setting the moonphase indicator.
The Stainless Steel case measures 42mm x 13.7mm x 48.2mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on an OEM black alligator strap w/ green stitching and Konstantin Chaykin pin buckle. Complete with Box, Papers dated 01/03/2018, and deck of playing cards.
