Inspired by the enduring symbolism of koi fish, Artur Akmaev's "Eternal Koi" explores the harmony between movement, balance, and the passage of time. At the center of the composition, two koi glide through hand-engraved waves, their forms joined through their tails to create a continuous circle — drawing from the philosophy of Yin and Yang. Pure silver and gold inlays form the flowing waves on a hand-engraved spring steel surface. The koi themselves are sculpted from silver, with individual scales highlighted in pure yellow gold and copper. Completing the composition is a set of traditionally heat-blued or purpled steel hands, finished by hand.
The reverse side reveals the manual winding La Joux-Perret F200 calibre movement which operates at 3Hz and delivers a 90 hour power reserve. Artur further extends his talents to fully hand-relief engraving the bridges, spring barrel and balance bridge.
The Stainless Steel case measures 37mm x 8.8mm x 45mm lug-to-lug and is furnished on a navy alligator DeLugs strap with pin buckle. 50M Water Resistant. 2 Year International Warranty.
An Akmaev Watches "Eternal Koi" Special Edition carrying Serial #8/10 is scheduled to arrive October 2026. The watch will deliver with heated purple hands unless a client requests otherwise prior to delivery. As this watch is engraved by hand, slight variances will exist between the delivered watch and the watch which appears in the photographs.
