Presenting the beautiful and poetic Luna Magna from Arnold & Son. An off-centered dial with Roman Numerals comprised of Mother of Pearl sits beneath blued steel hands. Below the subdial resides a mesmerizing 12mm spherical moon phase at 6 o'clock... the largest ever found in a wristwatch. The moon is comprised of two parts, one half natural marble and the other half in dark blue aventurine glass to match exquisite aventurine dial.
The reverse side reveals Arnold & Son's hand-wound A&S1021 calibre which operates at 3 Hz and delivers a 90-hour power reserve. The Luna Magna achieves astronomical precision, replicating the lunar cycle of 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.8 seconds with such accuracy that it deviates by just one day every 122 years. A chart centered atop the movement allows for a precise setting of the moonphase which is easily adjusted through the crown.
The 18 karat red gold case measures 44mm x 16.2mm thick (including crystals) and is 50mm lug-to-lug. Complete with Box and Papers. Fitted to an OEM Arnold & Son navy alligator strap with 18 karat red gold pin buckle.
