The perfect every day dress watch from "the Horological Brothers", the 1941 Principia fully lives up to its reputation. The frosted salmon color dial is crafted from solid silver and features beautifully polished and tapered indices. I really enjoy the flamed blued hands which do not appear flimsy as often seen from other brands.
Movement side is a total delight. Dark frosting covering the steel "bell gable" shaped bridges offer an incredible contrast to the golden wheels and high polished steel elements. The 22k rotor itself is an object of beauty which only adds to the appeal and functionality of the watch. The movement operates at 3 Hz and carries a power reserve of 56 hours.
Perhaps overlooked - given the beauty of the movement and the dial - is the Stainless Steel case which is visually interesting from every angle and measures measures 39.5mm x 10.5mm x 46.9mm lug-to-lug. Furnished on an OEM brown buffalo strap and signed Grönefeld buckle. Complete with Box & Papers dated June 2020.
