"My father asked a family friend who is a watchmaker to assemble a watch from parts sourced from his supplier (like an ETA movement, or things like that) in order for my father to offer it to me as a gift. Later on I discovered the brand "Molnar Fabry" and purchased a Piece Unique from them. Seeing that they're creating and making lots of watch parts completely by hand themselves, I began to seriously dream that they could upgrade the watch my father gifted to me by maybe adding a new hand made and hand engraved dial, or new set of hand made hands, etc. So I asked them about this, and they agreed.
So by the time my official Piece Unique was to be ready and completed, I sent them my watch, and they upgraded it beautifully with lots of new things. But as this watch was my own, and they only added some new components on it, they couldn't sign it. That's why their name is not put on the finished watch. But you can still see their DNA in it. And I want to add that, last year I bought a 2nd Piece Unique from Molnar Fabry and jumped at the opportunity to ask them for a few more upgrades. So the watch now has a new skeletonized barrel design and new finishing on the key-less work. And it was serviced at that time last year too when they upgraded it for the second time."
