A true icon from A. Lange & Sohne is the brilliant Zeitwerk. The creators of the Zeitwerk were presented with unique and extremely challenging obstacle to overcome. For 59.9 seconds of every minute, the movement has relatively smooth sailing to contend with. It is only at the last tenth of a second is the movement tasked with moving either 1, 2, or 3 super heavy discs to reflect the new time. To overcome the vast imbalance between the 59.9 seconds of tranquility and the last tenth of a second of madness and potential harm to the chronometry, the engineering team at A. Lange & Sohne developed a fascinating remontoire system which can be viewed through the sapphire glass.
I cannot think of a more legible watch than the Zeitwerk. No watch offers a more legible and instant readout of the time and catching the time change on hour is truly appointment viewing!
The 18k White Gold case is in excellent condition and measures 41.9mm x 13.3mm x 49.9mm lug-to-lug. This watch underwent a Complete Movement Service at Lange April 2022. Furnished with Box (missing pillow) & Papers dated October 24, 2010.
